Local Schools
represent some of the largest and most significant organizations in the La Crosse area. Many of the Earth Week events will be held at these institutions.

The participation of the local schools and Universities is a fundamental component of the Earth Week initiative. Our goal at Green La Crosse is to help teachers in the area to facilitate an active discussion about Green topics at school.

The values and processes students learn at the Local Schools will affect the way they work every day. People trained under a curriculum with an emphasis on environmental responsibility are more likely to be responsible employees and responsible citizens.

As the Green La Crosse community grows, the wealth of information available to teachers to use in their classrooms will grow with it. Consider it a virtual library of Green information directly related to the La Crosse, Wisconsin area.
