2009 LA CROSSE EARTH DAY FAIR

The La Crosse Earth Week Coalition invites everyone to come and celebrate the 2009 La
Crosse Earth Day Fair.
Activities include: Live music, a local foods fair,
children’s crafts, educational presentations and demonstrations,
environmental films, and recyclable art classes. You may even enjoy a lunch featuring local foods. Computers will be set up to make your "GreenLaCrosse.com Promise" online.
There will be a host of "green" vendors, including the Sierra Club with a solar panel display. Honda
Motorwerks and Steve Low’s Midwest Toyota will have a variety of “green”
automobiles on display, including: hybrid, electric, and CNG (compressed
natural gas) vehicles.
"Green" door prizes will be given out every half hour. The first 25 people at
the fair receiving a "green" gift!
The "grand prize" drawing will be
held at 4:00 PM in which two winners will receive a one month's free use of a Civic
Hybrid or one month's free use of a CNG Civic. |

La Crosse River Marsh Clean-up
LOCATION: Myrick Park Trailhead and Leuth Park
ADDRESS: 789 Myrick Park Drive and 1200 La Crosse Street
COST: FREE

We will supply trash bags. The city is providing dumpsters. Honda
Motorwerks is providing electric cars to ferry volunteers and trash to and
from points along the marsh walking and biking trails. Rain or
shine. Please dress appropriately.
This effort is jointly sponsored by the La Crosse River Marsh Coalition,
Honda Motorwerks, and the City of La Crosse. |

Hawk Ridge Hike
LOCATION: Go north out of La Crescent, MN on Elm Street, it turns into Apple Blossom Drive or County Road 1 as you go up the bluff. Go to the top of the hill and note the Apple Blossom Overlook Park there, go one more mile and look for #32628 on the right.
